Work/Bunny

My advisor forgot my deadline. So I built him a memory.

The problem

I was the one doing the reminding.

He wasn't careless. He just had no system: nothing to say who to call this week or which reviews he had promised. So I kept chasing him for a service I was paying for.

Who it's for

One advisor. Not a big firm.

Choosing who it was not for shaped every screen.

Not forFirms

Teams, roles and managers. That's a different product.

ForOne person

100 to 200 clients. No assistant. Just a phone.

SoTwo taps

Every important action finishes in a couple of taps.

Key decisions

What I chose, and why.

01

Don't ask a forgetful person to set reminders.

Add a client and the app plans their year itself.

02

Warn early.

KYC expiry is flagged 60 days ahead, while there is still time to act.

03

One question shapes the app.

Testing showed many advisors also handle tax. So the app asks once, then shows only what that person needs.

04

Count the days.

“13 days left” gets action. A date alone has to be worked out.

Found in testing

Asked once. The app reshapes itself.

Calm, green and plain on purpose. It's a professional's tool.

The year it plans

The result

Built end to end. Now in testing.

Then I reviewed my own pricing. As the founder, nobody else would.

Too small10 free clients

Birthday, SIP and KYC alerts only show up with volume. A free user would never see it work.

Wrong placeAds in a work tool

Advisors open it in front of clients. An ad mid-task hurts their credibility.

Too low₹99 a month

For an advisor, ₹99 isn't cheap. It's invisible, and it looks like a toy.

What I learned

What I'd carry into the next one.

An annoyance is a good brief

Being the unhappy client told me what good looked like.

Testers change products

The biggest change came from them, not from me.
